What a fantastic weekend of music at the first Autumn Trad event, with young musicians James Bauld, Euan McLaughlin, Malin Lewis, Chloë Bryce and Luc McNally delivering oustanding performances…and they all hung on for the after show sessions too! Brilliant!
Chloë Bryce, Malin Lewis and Luc McNally
It was a pleasure to have some of the best young traditional musicians in Scotland performing at the venue, and a real thrill for those who came out to support the event. The tunes went on long into the evening too, and the craic' was just braw.
It is hugely encouraging to see just how high the standard of musicianship and performance is, with all 5 musicians bringing something unique and special to their performances over the weekend. It's thanks to the huge efforts of the likes of Plockton school and the traditional music scenes in Glasgow, Edinburgh and throughout Scotland that supports this talent.
The Autumn Trad weekend will be a permanent addition to Trad Music Trust's year-round programme of traditional music and dance events, so please keep the 21st-23rd October 2022 free in your diary. We are currently in negotiation with various acts for next year and have something very exciting indeed lined up for Autumn Trad 2022. Stay tuned!
Following a cancellation this weekend, we've brought forward the Bluegrass Night, originally scheduled for Friday 2nd January, to this coming Friday 19th December 2025 from 7pm. Join local and visiting musicians for an evening of bluegrass/Americana/old-time music. Free entry!

Please make sure you support local musician, Ben Please's efforts to raise enough money to write, record and release his debut piano album, which is being run through Crowdfunder with support from Creative Scotland.
